A pilgrimage to Ballintubber
Ballintubber Abbey and the Celtic Furrow offer an historic setting to ponder and pray not only how our faith sustained us in times past but how it is hope for today and future generations.
Participants are invited to make their way to the Celtic Furrow for 10.30am where we'll meet up with Fr Frank Fahy who will lead the day. After visiting the Celtic Furrow we'll be making our way to Church Island, before moving on to Ballintubber Abbey itself in the afternoon.
As most of the day will be spent outdoors please bring with you a picnic lunch, sensible shoes and clothing to suit the weather!
For anyone who would like to mull over the day before returning home there will be the possibility to eat an evening meal together in Corley's Abbey Lodge, situated just opposite the Abbey.
So that everyone can get the most out of the day, numbers will be limited and early booking is advised.
Date: Wednesday 12th June 2019.
